The short answer
European teams usually look for a ZoomInfo alternative for one of three reasons: the price is quote-only and Vendr reports a median of US$33,500 a year, ZoomInfo's own figures show 20.5 million companies for all of Europe against 79.6 million for North America, and data may be stored in the United States. The right alternative depends on which of those is your reason. For European contact data with phone-verified mobiles, Cognism. For a free start and published prices, Apollo or Lusha. For EU-hosted website visitor and company data, Leadfeeder. For building your own mix of providers, Clay. For outbound and data in one, lemlist. For European SMEs, register-sourced in Belgium, Bizzy.
Bizzy is our product, and it is in this list. Every figure comes from the vendors' own websites or from Vendr, checked in September 2026, with sources linked. This is not legal advice.
Why teams look beyond ZoomInfo
Price and contract. ZoomInfo publishes no prices; its plans, Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise, are quoted (ZoomInfo pricing). Vendr reports a median contract of US$33,500 a year across 1,573 purchases, in a range from US$7,213 to US$155,820 (Vendr).
European coverage. ZoomInfo publishes 20.5 million-plus companies and 66 million-plus contacts for Europe, and no figure per country (ZoomInfo data). That is a smaller company count than the 33.1 million enterprises Eurostat counts in the EU alone (Eurostat), though the units differ.
Data location. Its privacy policy says personal information may be stored and processed in the United States, under standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (ZoomInfo privacy policy). The full comparison is in Bizzy vs ZoomInfo.

The alternatives
1. Cognism. The closest like-for-like for European outbound. Its main selling point is phone-verified "Diamond Data"; its compliance page says it generally keeps data inside the EEA, and it lists ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and SOC 2 Type II (Cognism compliance). The catch: like ZoomInfo, it is quote-only, so it solves coverage and data location more than price. More in Bizzy vs Cognism.
2. Apollo. The self-serve alternative: a large contact and company database with sequences, a free plan and per-user paid tiers (Apollo pricing). For a team of three it turns a procurement project into a card payment. The catch: credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, and it is not built on European company registers; why that matters for small companies is explained in why international prospecting tools miss Belgian SMEs. Apollo vs ZoomInfo compares the two directly.
3. Lusha. Published prices from a free plan with 40 credits a month to Starter at US$49.90, or US$37.45 on annual billing, and 42.8 million European contacts (Lusha pricing, Lusha data). The catch: its privacy notice places data on AWS in the United States, and Italy's regulator fined it EUR 2 million on 14 July 2026 and banned it from processing data about people in Italy (Garante). See Bizzy vs Lusha.
4. Leadfeeder. For teams that used ZoomInfo mainly for company data and website visitors. Leadfeeder identifies visiting companies from a database of 60 million companies built on national trade registers, hosts its data on AWS in Ireland, and adds verified contacts from its Activate plan at EUR 369 a month on annual billing; Lite is free and Discover starts at EUR 79 (Leadfeeder pricing). The catch: contact data sits behind the higher tiers. See Bizzy vs Leadfeeder.
5. Clay. For teams that would rather pay for data as they use it than sign a seat contract. Clay has a free plan and published tiers from US$185 a month, and spends data credits only when you buy data from one of its "150+ data partners" (Clay pricing). The catch: the bill follows usage, so a busy quarter costs more, and someone has to build the workflows. See Clay vs Apollo.
6. lemlist. For teams whose ZoomInfo seats mostly fed outbound sequences. lemlist is an outreach platform with a 650 million-plus lead database, email and phone finders, and sequences across email, LinkedIn, calls and more; the Email plan is US$69 a month, or US$55 yearly, with unlimited users (lemlist pricing). The catch: it is built around sending, not around company research. See Bizzy vs lemlist.
7. Bizzy. For teams whose market is European SMEs, Benelux first. Bizzy takes Belgian company data from the official registers and covers other European countries through Creditsafe data, with Creditsafe credit scores, vacancies and seven signal types, and data primarily stored in the EU (Bizzy). Its lead generation agent delivers a prioritised list every week. The catch: it publishes no contact count and no prices beyond a free start (Bizzy pricing), and its strength is Europe, not North America.
How to choose
Start from why you are leaving. If it is price, do a seat-cost check: multiply the plan price by the seats you actually need and add a month of the credits you would use, for Apollo, Lusha, Clay and lemlist, which publish their prices. If it is European coverage, test Cognism and Bizzy on the same list. If it is data location, check where each vendor says it stores data; Cognism, Leadfeeder and Bizzy all state the EU or EEA. And run the half-hour test on any shortlist: take twenty of your own customers, look each one up, and count how many come back with usable data.
