Lusha alternatives for European sales teams (2026): 6 options

Comparison

The short answer

Since July 2026 the most pressing reason to review Lusha is compliance: Italy's data protection authority fined Lusha EUR 2 million and banned it from processing data about people in Italy, and Lusha's privacy notice places its data on AWS in the United States. Coverage is another: Lusha publishes 42.8 million European contacts but no figure for Belgium. For the closest like-for-like, a browser extension priced in euros, Kaspr. For phone-verified European mobiles and EEA storage, Cognism. For data and sequences in one, Apollo. For outreach with a lead database built in, lemlist. For combining providers, Clay. For European SMEs, register-sourced in Belgium, Bizzy.

Bizzy is our product, and it is in this list. Every figure comes from the vendors' own websites and from regulators, checked in September 2026, with sources linked. This is not legal advice.

Why teams look beyond Lusha

The Italian decision. On 14 July 2026 the Garante fined Lusha Systems Inc. EUR 2 million, banned it from processing personal data of people in Italy and ordered the data erased, finding that legitimate interest was not an adequate legal basis for its data brokering (Garante, decision no. 542). The decision binds Lusha, not its customers, but procurement teams may ask about it.

Data location. Lusha's privacy notice says its data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Lusha privacy notice).

Coverage and credits. Lusha publishes 42.8 million European contacts, with figures for seven countries; Belgium is not listed separately (Lusha data). A phone number costs five credits, and Lusha's own phone-accuracy claim is 86% (Lusha data). The full picture is in Bizzy vs Lusha.

The alternatives

1. Kaspr. The closest like-for-like. Kaspr is a Chrome extension that reveals emails and phone numbers on LinkedIn, run by Kaspr SAS in Paris, priced in euros and renewed monthly: Free with 15 B2B email and 5 phone credits a month, Starter at EUR 45 per user on annual billing (EUR 59 monthly) with unlimited B2B email and 100 phone credits, Business at EUR 99 with 200 (Kaspr pricing). Its privacy policy says personal data is processed within the UK, the EU and the EEA "as far as possible" (Kaspr privacy policy). The catch: like Lusha, it is a contact tool, so it finds the people who are visible online rather than every company.

2. Cognism. For teams that used Lusha mainly for mobile numbers. Cognism's "Diamond Data" is phone-verified, its compliance page says it generally keeps data inside the EEA, and it lists ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and SOC 2 Type II (Cognism compliance). The catch: prices are quoted, not published. See Bizzy vs Cognism.

3. Apollo. For teams that want contacts and sequencing together, with a free plan and per-user tiers (Apollo pricing). Apollo names an EU representative and takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Apollo privacy policy). The catch: a mobile number costs more credits than an email, and credits expire each billing cycle. See Apollo vs ZoomInfo.

4. lemlist. For teams whose Lusha reveals mostly fed email and LinkedIn sequences. lemlist combines multichannel outreach with a 650 million-plus lead database and email and phone finders; its data add-on gives 10,000 credits, enough for 2,000 emails or 500 phone numbers, for US$94 a month (lemlist pricing). The catch: it is an outreach tool first. See Bizzy vs lemlist.

5. Clay. For teams that want to choose their own data providers rather than inherit one vendor's legal position. Clay routes enrichment through "150+ data partners" and offers a DPA with standard contractual clauses on request (Clay privacy); tiers start at US$185 a month. The catch: you then have to check each provider you switch on. More enrichment options in data enrichment tools for European CRMs.

6. Bizzy. For teams whose market is European SMEs and who want to start from the company, not the person. Bizzy takes Belgian company data from the official registers and covers other European countries through Creditsafe data, with decision-maker contacts attached, vacancies, Creditsafe credit scores and seven signal types, and data primarily stored in the EU (Bizzy). The catch: it publishes no contact count, so if contact volume decides, test it on your own segment first, and it publishes no prices beyond a free start (Bizzy pricing).

How to choose

Start with a data-location check: list where each shortlisted vendor says it stores and processes data, and on what legal basis. If you liked Lusha's workflow and only want to move the risk, Kaspr is the smallest change. If phones decide, trial Cognism. If you want the list to start from the companies that exist rather than the people who are visible, trial Bizzy. Whichever you pick, you remain the controller for your outreach, and the rules differ by country; our overview of cold outreach rules in Europe sets them out. And if you hold Italian contacts exported from Lusha before July 2026, review your own legal basis for them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using contacts I exported from Lusha? The Italian decision binds Lusha, but you are the controller for data you hold. Review your own legal basis, especially for contacts in Italy exported before July 2026, and inform people as Article 14 of the GDPR requires.

Is Lusha banned in Europe? Not across Europe. The Italian regulator banned Lusha from processing personal data of people in Italy on 14 July 2026, alongside a EUR 2 million fine. The ban binds Lusha, not its customers.
