Bizzy vs Sectora

Bizzy vs Sectora: searchable register or prospecting engine?

Sectora and Bizzy start from the same place. Both build on the KBO, the Belgian company register, and both let you filter roughly two million Belgian companies by sector, region, legal form and age.

They diverge on what happens next. Sectora is built so you can look things up. Bizzy is built so a team can work a list continuously. That difference decides which one suits you, and it shows up most clearly in the export limits.

60-second summary

Choose Sectora if you look up Belgian companies regularly, want multi-year financials and a risk score on screen, and your volumes are modest. The free tier is genuinely useful and €15 a month is very little.

Choose Bizzy if a sales team works lists every week, you need buying signals rather than register facts, you sell beyond Belgium, or your CRM is Teamleader.

The practical dividing line is volume. Sectora caps CSV exports at 100 rows on Starter and 1,000 on Pro. If that is more than you need, Sectora is the cheaper answer and we would say so.

What are Bizzy and Sectora?

Sectora is a Belgian company-search platform built on KBO data from FOD Economie. It reports around two million searchable companies, 1,941,457 of them active, across 1,536 NACE sectors. It offers filters on sector, region, legal form and founding date, multi-year financial statements, director lists, risk scoring, email alerts for newly registered companies, and pipeline tracking. Plans run from free to €79 a month.

Bizzy is a European B2B prospecting platform. It combines official register data with contact channels, buying signals such as hiring activity, and CRM integrations, so teams can build target lists and act on them continuously.

Both are honest about their source. Neither invents company data, because in Belgium the register is the data.

Coverage: genuinely similar in Belgium

This is where most comparisons would claim an advantage. We are not going to, because there is not much of one.

On Belgian coverage these are effectively the same product. Anyone telling you one has meaningfully more Belgian companies than the other is selling you something, because both are reading the same register.

The real coverage difference is the last row. Sectora is Belgium only. If Belgium is your entire market, that is not a limitation, it is focus. If you sell into the Netherlands, France or Germany, it is the whole decision, and no amount of Belgian depth compensates.

Where they actually differ

Export limits, which matter more than they sound

Sectora's CSV export is capped at 100 rows on Starter (€15), 1,000 rows on Pro (€39) and unlimited on Business (€79).

For occasional research that is irrelevant. For list building it is the central constraint. A single segment of Belgian companies in one sector and province routinely runs to several thousand records, so on Pro you would be exporting a segment in pieces.

Bizzy is priced around continuous list building rather than per export, because that is the job it is for.

Signals versus register facts

Sectora alerts you when new companies are registered and scores financial risk. Both are useful, and both come from the register.

Bizzy's signals come from outside the register: whether a company is hiring, whether it has a website and working contact channels, and which companies visited your site. A company that is hiring is changing something now. A newly registered company is a fact about the past few weeks.

Which you want depends on your trigger. If "newly founded" is your buying signal, Sectora covers it directly, and our own guide on finding newly founded Belgian companies explains how that data works. If your trigger is growth or intent, that is a different feed.

CRM fit, where Belgium is unusual

Sectora includes pipeline tracking from Pro, and HubSpot and Salesforce integration at the €79 Business tier.

Bizzy integrates with HubSpot, Teamleader Focus and Odoo.

Teamleader is the difference worth knowing about. It is one of the most widely used CRMs among Belgian SMEs and it does not appear on Sectora's integration list. If you run Teamleader, that is a concrete operational gap rather than a feature-sheet quibble.

Pricing

Sectora's pricing is published and low:

Tier

Price

Key limit

Gratis

€0

watchlist of 5, one year of financials, no export

Starter

€15/month

100-row CSV export, 5 alerts

Pro

€39/month

1,000-row CSV export, 10 alerts, pipeline

Business

€79/month

unlimited export, HubSpot and Salesforce

That is inexpensive, and the free tier with unlimited search is a real offer rather than a trial. For an individual doing research, it is hard to argue against.

Bizzy is priced as a team platform. Current plans are on our pricing page. The comparison is not like for like: one is priced for a person looking things up, the other for a team working a pipeline.

Which should you choose?

One person, Belgium only, occasional lookups: Sectora. Start on the free tier. If you need exports, €15 a month is less than any serious alternative, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

A sales team working lists every week: Bizzy. Export caps, buying signals and CRM fit all start to bind, and that is the point at which per-seat register search stops being the right tool.

Selling beyond Belgium: Bizzy. Sectora does not cover it.

Teamleader shop: Bizzy, on integration grounds alone.

If you are weighing several options at once, our comparison of Belgian prospecting tools puts Companyweb, Trends Top and others side by side, and Bizzy vs Qantara covers the financial-analysis end of the market.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sectora have the same Belgian data as Bizzy?

Broadly, yes. Both build on the KBO, so the underlying company records are the same official data. Sectora reports around two million searchable companies and 1,941,457 active; our Belgian base is 2,027,758 with 1,825,441 active. Differences at that level come from how each counts entities, not from one having better access.

Is Sectora's free tier actually usable?

Yes, for looking things up. It gives unlimited search, basic company data, up to three directors and a one-year financial preview, with a watchlist of five companies. It does not include exports, so it is a research tool rather than a list-building one.

Can I export a full prospect list from Sectora?

Only on the €79 Business tier. Starter caps CSV export at 100 rows and Pro at 1,000. A typical Belgian segment by sector and province exceeds that, so below Business you would be working in batches.

Does Sectora cover countries other than Belgium?

No. Sectora is Belgium only, built on KBO data. If your market extends into the Netherlands, France or Germany you would need a second source.

Which is better value?

For one person doing Belgian research, Sectora, clearly. For a team that works lists continuously, needs signals beyond the register, or sells across borders, the export caps and Belgium-only scope become the binding constraints and a prospecting platform costs less in practice than the workarounds.
