The short answer
Upload a CSV with one company per row, and Bizzy matches each row to the company's record and returns the fields you asked for: company identity (enterprise or VAT number, legal form, status, address), size, sector, filed figures where they exist, website, and contacts if you selected them. The reliable key is the enterprise or VAT number; a company name alone matches less often and needs a check. You start the job from the Companion with "Enrich a CSV" or from a list, the result comes back as a download or goes into a list you can push to your CRM, and the job uses credits, so you see the cost before it runs. This page describes how to prepare the file, what comes back, and what to do with rows that do not match.
Prepare the file
One company per row. Remove subtotal rows, headers repeated halfway, and merged cells from a spreadsheet export.
Put the identifier in its own column. Belgian enterprise numbers as ten digits (0123456789), VAT numbers with the country prefix (BE0123456789), Dutch KVK numbers as eight digits. Bizzy matches on whichever you have; the enterprise or VAT number is the key that matches without ambiguity.
If you only have names, add the city or website. "Janssens" matches hundreds of Belgian companies; "Janssens, Kortrijk" or the domain narrows it to one. Expect to review name-only matches by hand.
Keep your own columns. Your customer number, owner or segment stay in the file and come back next to the enriched fields, so you can re-import into your CRM on your own key.
Run the enrichment
Open the Companion and choose Enrich a CSV, or upload the file into a list.
Tell Bizzy which column holds the identifier and which fields you want back. Asking for contacts costs more credits than asking for company fields alone; the estimate shows before the job starts, and usage is metered in credits.
Run it. Small files return within minutes; a file with thousands of rows runs in the background.
Download the result, or keep it as a list and push it to your CRM.
What comes back
Field group | Examples | Source (Belgium) |
|---|---|---|
Identity | Enterprise number, VAT number, legal form, status, incorporation date, registered address, establishments | Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO/CBE) |
Activity | NACEBEL codes, Bizzy's sector taxonomy, description | KBO/CBE, company website |
Size and figures | Employees (FTE), revenue where filed, gross margin, EBITDA, equity, debt ratio, four years of history | National Bank of Belgium, filed annual accounts |
Web and tech | Website, social profiles, detected technology stack | Company website |
People | Contacts with role, department, email, phone, LinkedIn, verification per channel | LinkedIn and contact providers |
Signals | Open vacancies, job changes, official publications | Company websites and VDAB, LinkedIn, Official Gazette |
For Dutch companies the data comes through Creditsafe; filed figures are thinner because small and micro companies file only a limited balance sheet. For other countries the depth depends on what Bizzy has for that market; check the data page before you promise a colleague a field.
Rows that do not match
No identifier and an ambiguous name: the most common case. Add a city or domain and rerun those rows.
The company no longer exists: dissolved, merged or bankrupt. The status field tells you; remove it from the CRM rather than enriching it.
A sole trader: exists in the register but files no accounts, so figures stay empty by design.
A foreign company with a Belgian branch: the branch has a Belgian enterprise number, the figures sit with the parent abroad.
Expect a share of rows to come back partial. That share is information: a customer file where a fifth of the companies cannot be matched is a file with a data-quality problem, and how fast CRM data decays explains why that happens even to clean files.
Frequently asked questions
Which column do I need to enrich a CSV in Bizzy? An enterprise number, VAT number or KVK number gives the most reliable match. A company name works but needs a city or website next to it and a manual check of the matches.
What does CSV enrichment cost? It uses credits from your plan; company fields cost less than contacts. The estimate appears before the job runs.
Can I enrich my whole CRM this way? Yes, by exporting the companies with their VAT numbers, enriching, and re-importing on your own key. For HubSpot and Teamleader Focus there is a direct route without the CSV: see enriching HubSpot on the VAT number.
Does Bizzy return revenue for every Belgian company? No. Most small Belgian companies do not have to file revenue; for those, gross margin, balance-sheet total and FTE are the usable fields, and revenue stays empty.
