The company

Catermonkey is an all in one software platform for event professionals such as caterers, food trucks, and event venues. The platform helps businesses manage sales, quotes, planning, lists, and invoicing from one central system.

Catermonkey is used by more than 500 customers across Belgium and the Netherlands, including catering companies, food concepts, and event driven businesses.

We spoke with Yari Bootsma, Head of Marketing at Catermonkey.

The challenge

At the beginning of the year, Catermonkey’s sales process changed significantly.

At that time, the sales process was not structured. There was no clear approach to how leads were generated or how sales activities were organized.

As new sales people were hired, the team started building a step by step plan for generating leads. One of the biggest challenges in that process was gaining an overview of the total market.

Before Bizzy, having a clear picture of all relevant companies in the market was difficult, which made it harder to build structure into sales activities.

The solution

Bizzy was already available within the organization, but it was not actively used.

As the team took a closer look at how sales was organized, it became clear that the process needed more structure. A step by step sales setup was introduced, with clear ways of generating and working with leads.

Bizzy became part of that structure as one of the building blocks in the sales setup. Its main role is to help the team map the total market in a simple and efficient way.

While the team does not log into Bizzy on a daily basis, the data plays a central role in their workflow. Bizzy exports are used daily and feed into their broader sales activities.

The results

With Bizzy in place, Catermonkey now has a clear and reliable overview of its total market.

Instead of working without structure, the team can start from a complete market view and use that data consistently across their sales process. Bizzy supports their daily work through exports that are actively used by the team, even if the platform itself is not opened every day.
